Do You Avoid Networking?

Today's blog post is short and sweet and mostly encapsulated in the infograph below about the roadblocks and benefits of networking. A program I am involved in called the Honor Foundation promotes networking to help the special ops forces figure out what they want to do in the civilian world. They call it 50 cups of coffee, which is a great goal when you are trying to either figure out your next step or find a job.

Networking has been the source of 95% of my job choices in my entire life and has always served me well. It is also the primary way I have gained clients for my coaching business. The key to being comfortable with networking is to replace the assumptions or limiting beliefs you may have about how you are imposing on other people or how they can't help you anyway with some new thoughts outlined in the infograph. Then try it. What is the worst thing that could happen?

If you are struggling to find a job and are avoiding networking, feel free to schedule a free coaching consultation to see how coaching with Coaching By Toby can help you overcome your hesitancy and find that perfect job.
